Thompson/Center Arms Company, Inc. announces an exclusive Encore and Omega model made for select distributors and sold here at Tip's Hardware. The Encore 209x50 features a stainless steel barrel and grey laminated wood stock. The Omega 209x50 showcases a camo barrel and stock. Other Thompson/Center models are available, but the Encore and Omega are available in limited quantities. The Encore ... 209x50 cal comes with a 26" barrel of 4140 rifle grade steel ... is designed to handle Magnum charges of up to 150 grains of black powder or Pyrodex equivalent. Using 3 Pyrodex Pellets, it produces a muzzle velocity of over 2200 ft/second and is lethal out to 200 yards. The Encore pictured above is a special production for select distributors. Thompson/Center Omega
The Omega ... 209x50 cal is a super reliable closed breech muzzleloader, which protects the 209 primer from foul weather. Once the Omega has been loaded and primed, firing the rifle is accomplished by merely cocking the hammer and pulling the trigger. The patented hammer and trigger mechanism permits the hammer to make contact with the primer only when the trigger is fully pulled rearward. Like all hammer guns, getting the Omega into action is fast. Its sleek profile and its "swinging block" lever action design make this muzzleloader one of the simplest and no nonsense muzzleloaders on the market ... simple to operate ... simple to clean.
